Rules

→ be polite.
→ respect the staff - if you have any issues with a staff member, please approach a staff member with a higher level of power to deal with it.
→ respect one and other. any drama between members should stay off site, and any drama between characters should remain just that and should not have an effect on the members playing them.
→ don't give out personal information.
→ report any rule breaks to the staff, and do not attempt to take care of them yourself.
→ proboards is pg-13 - and therefore, so are we. moderate swearing and violence is allowed, but there should be nothing explicit. this also means that you cannot post anything of a sexual nature.
→ do not plagiarize another's work.


→ only have one account.
→ all images should be of an appropriate size - avatars must be 100x100, mini-profile images must by 250x350 and signature images (or text) should not stretch the page in any manner.
→ please do not advertise things in your signature! we have a board for that.
→ when creating an account, we recommend that you go into your account settings to check out the various options available to you - they will allow you to personalise both your mini profile and your user profile.


→ character creation is unlimited, allowing for any number of characters to be created.
→ any animal species may be used, including extinct creatures. however, it is important to note that these creatures are considered 'advanced', and require a well developed application to be accepted. the longer it has been extinct, the more the moderators are expecting to see.
→ do not steal another persons character. additionally, do not in any way use them without explicit permission - this includes things such as making a character that is related to them.
→ character names may be anything, within reason, as the creatures choose their own names after the eschaton.


→ while we do not have a strict word limit, we recommend that all players post between 50-300 words within roleplays. This gives the other user something to work with while allowing for the speed that action scenes may require. one sentence roleplays are not allowed.
→ while we allow for multiple characters, you may not have more than one of your own characters active within any given thread at a time. you may refer to other characters you own in passing, but they should not feature beyond that.
→ you cannot decide the actions of any character that is not your own. this means that you cannot in any way decide the movements, speech or decisions of another character. for example, rather than saying "Ari grabbed Sven in a big hug!" you would say "Ari went to grab Sven in a big hug!" and it would be up to the other roleplayer to decide whether the hug hits home. this also goes in battle - when attacking another character, aim to hit them instead of simply saying "and so they were hit".
→ characters may only be in one thread at any given time - no liquidtime, in other words.
→ do not spam. by posting multiple times in a row, you can both confuse the other roleplayer and take away their enjoyment. don't do it!
→ as a pg-15 roleplay, you are allowed to have scenes of violence. in addition, you may have your characters swear. however, you may not have scenes of a graphic sexual nature.


→ do not attempt to deal your own punishment. it is the duty of the staff to dish them out.
→ punishments include warnings, day bans, week bans and life bans, depending on the severity of the crime.
→ after the staff has decided on a punishment, it will not be changed.
